Describing Mr Indifferent

For the past few days in Mrs Jones writing group we have been doing a template of writing on Describing Mr Indifferent. My favourite part in the story was when he made all of the mistakes he did he fixed them. My least favourite part was when he did the opposite and was quite mean to lots of people. This is what I wrote.

In a busy city lived a tall man named Mr Indifferent, he wore dark clothes, brown hair. He was quite a grumpy man but most of all he was selfish and rude. He had very pale skin and brown eyes.

Mr Indifferent was so selfish that he didn't leave the elevator door open for the nice lady. Not even catch the little girls balloon that was about to fly away or the trolley full of groceries. But further more down the street was a woman who was trying to get people to volunteer for a rubbish clean up at the beach, but of course he did not volunteer for it.

But one day it all turned to the opposite of what happened, this little old lady was going to cross the road but she couldn’t do it by herself. So she held his arm and they crossed the road but what happened was that the little old lady was so happy but Mr Indifferent was so confused because it has never happened to him before. The lady told him to bend down and she grabbed his cheek and she had a great big smile on her face.

Later on that day he was at his apartment he was very dazed, but then one fine morning he was not wearing dark gloomy clothes he was wearing light colourful clothing!

Mr Indifferent was not so mean and rude anymore he was very nice and kind that he went and made all of those mistakes change. He grabbed the little pink balloon and gave it to the little girl and he signed up to be a volunteer for the beach clean up.

What other feelings do you think Mr Indifferent is feeling?

Describing Goldilocks

For the past few days in Mrs Jones writing group we have been writing a story on Describing Goldilocks. My favourite part in the story is when she explores the woods and pats all the little bunny rabbits. But my least favourite part in the story was that she lied to her Mother. This is what my writing was.

Far in the edge of the woods lived a girl named Goldilocks, she lived in a little wood cottage by a big rose bush, she loved to pick lots of flowers for her friends and especially her mother.

Goldilocks had warm blue vibrant eyes and a blue dress that twirls in the hot shiny sun. She has short wavy golden blonde hair.

Goldilocks loves to take long strolls down through the forest, mostly she loves the beautiful flowers. Goldilocks Mother describes her as helpful, adventurous.

She often takes the path that leads her to the massive green field filled with lots of sunlight, she loves to run through the fresh light green grass.

Have you heard of the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears and whats your favourite part in the story?

Recount Writing

In Mrs Jones Writing group we did a writing Recount about our Weekend I wrote about my friend coming over for a sleepover. My favourite thing about writing this recount was because I was thinking back on what I did and it was really fun. The most trickiest thing was to think of all the things I need in my writing like for example adjectives, punctuation. This is what I did!

Dear Diary,
Today I’m going to tell you about my weekend.
On Friday (the day before I had a sleepover with my friend) I went to the park with my Dad and Brother,
I was feeling happy but puffed because I was doing lots of running.

There was a lot of people at the park because it was really hot.
Sometimes its really weird because when its really windy and cloudy its still very hot.
I like the park but I also like surfing at Sumner beach so I wish I did that.

The Next day which was Saturday my friend Arwen came over
to my house at 1:23 for a sleepover she brang her skateboard and I used my
skateboard to so we went down to the park.
We are not professionals but we tried we fell over sometimes but then we got back up it was quite funny.

At 3:00 we watched some YouTube videos for about half an hour.
Later on we had McDonald's for dinner it was so yum!

What fun things do you do at your sleepover?

Maori Greetings

Today in Maori we learned about Maori greetings. We had to figure out what the meaning is for the Maori greeting, like for example Kia ora means Hello and and Ata marie means Good Morning. There are lots of greetings in different languages we had to guess. This is what it looks like.
