Telling The Time

On the 4th of May Miss McClelland's Math group have been learning about Telling the time. We looked at past and to. The big hand is the minutes hand and the small hand is the hour hand. If the big hand was on the 12 that means it would be ... 12 o'clock. The half of the clock is half past and there is quarter past and quarter to. Past and to is the main part we had to use well putting it in the missing space to tell the time. This is the slide show with all the questions I did.

Do you know how to tell the time?

Fred The Firefighter

Kia Ora!
Today in Mrs Jones Reading Group we read a poem called Fred The Firefighter. I thought it was a bit tricky and the questions took me quite a while to answer. But I thought it was make-believe and that means it's not real. These were my answers.

Have you ever learnt or read about a Fire Fighters rescue?

Stop Bugging Me Quiz

Hey Readers!
Today with Miss Williamson in Reading we did a quiz called Stop Bugging Me. We had to go into Epic and read the book and then do the quiz after we have read it. I thought that the quiz was a bit hard when we had to try and remember each of the animals names. But I also enjoyed it! This was my results.

Reading Game Word Match / Hungry Mouse Peom

Kia Ora Everyone!
Today in Mrs Jones Reading Group we did a Peom called The Hungry Mouse, we all had to read the peom first and then answer a whole variety of questions on a Google Form. As I waited to see the results of the questions I did I played this Reading game called Word Match. It is a game were you have about 10-12 cards with words on them and you have to try and get the matching pair and then you will get points as you keep on playing and earning pairs. This is my score for that game.

Have you ever played a game like this? This is the link for the Reading Game so you can challenge yourself and earn looks of points. https://www.spellingcity.com/match-words-by-memory-concentration.html?listId=15827653

Teeth

Kia Ora,
In Mrs Jones Writing group we have been Writing a Narrative called Teeth. We watched a video and it was about two old men and they were fishing, but my writing will explain it all. My favourite part about writing this was that it was quite funny even thinking about it, but what was a bit hard was thinking about good adjectives that would make it a good story. This is my writing!

On a calm lake two old men are fishing in a boat.

One of the old men sneezes and suddenly his false teeth fall out and lands on the side of the boat. While this is happening the other old man starts to laugh continuously. The first man was not impressed because he was being laughed at. Then he tried to grab his teeth but he knocked them into the water.

Later on they were both quietly fishing with their backs to each other. Then the old man who still has his teeth caught a fish, he thought he would be funny and took out his false teeth and put them in the fish's mouth, to show the other man that he caught his teeth. The first man was surprised and grabbed the teeth and put them in his mouth. But they didn’t fit so he threw them into the water.

Both men have lost their teeth.

Have you ever wrote about something that is quite similar to this?
