Impasto Painting
This term in Art we have been focusing on Impasto painting. We first got given a practice piece of paper to practice on and then we got given a small piece of a Van Gogh painting and once we have finished painting it all the pictures connect together and makes a pot of flowers. Impasto painting is a painting technique that uses thick layers of paint. It took a few tries to get the colours right because I either put to much or not enough of a colour so when all the painting's came together some painting had different colours then others so they all weren't the same but they still all looked good!

The Empty Pot
Today in Hurumanu we listened to a story called 'The Empty Pot.' It was about a boy named Ping and he lived in China and all the children had to grow a beautiful flower using a seed that was given from the Emperor. After we listened to the story we had to do a few activities, the first activity was we had a few questions to write a sentence about. We then had to make our own word find with some of the main words about the story. This is what my word find looks like!
You could have a go at trying to find the words highlighted!
Any feedback is appreciated :)

Math Games
For Maths we have been working on long multiplication and place value. We had some questions to answer about multiplication. I found that the questions were quite hard to do because I couldn't really figure out how to work out the answer. My score at the end was 5/10 from the long multiplication.
