Describing Mr Indifferent

For the past few days in Mrs Jones writing group we have been doing a template of writing on Describing Mr Indifferent. My favourite part in the story was when he made all of the mistakes he did he fixed them. My least favourite part was when he did the opposite and was quite mean to lots of people. This is what I wrote.

In a busy city lived a tall man named Mr Indifferent, he wore dark clothes, brown hair. He was quite a grumpy man but most of all he was selfish and rude. He had very pale skin and brown eyes.

Mr Indifferent was so selfish that he didn't leave the elevator door open for the nice lady. Not even catch the little girls balloon that was about to fly away or the trolley full of groceries. But further more down the street was a woman who was trying to get people to volunteer for a rubbish clean up at the beach, but of course he did not volunteer for it.

But one day it all turned to the opposite of what happened, this little old lady was going to cross the road but she couldn’t do it by herself. So she held his arm and they crossed the road but what happened was that the little old lady was so happy but Mr Indifferent was so confused because it has never happened to him before. The lady told him to bend down and she grabbed his cheek and she had a great big smile on her face.

Later on that day he was at his apartment he was very dazed, but then one fine morning he was not wearing dark gloomy clothes he was wearing light colourful clothing!

Mr Indifferent was not so mean and rude anymore he was very nice and kind that he went and made all of those mistakes change. He grabbed the little pink balloon and gave it to the little girl and he signed up to be a volunteer for the beach clean up.

What other feelings do you think Mr Indifferent is feeling?

  1. Hi Erin. It's great that you got to finish this piece of writing about Mr Indifferent. Have you had a chance to watch the video prompt Broken on our writing slideshow for this week? You can chose to describe either Paper, Scissors or Rock. I am interested to find out what you think of that video.

  2. Hi Erin, I really enjoyed reading your piece of writing. It made me think about small acts of kindness and how the feeling of doing kind things make people feel. Why do you think Mr Indifferent changed the way he behaved after the lady needed him to help her cross the road. Did Mr indifferent offer to help or did she just grab onto him?
    Keep up the great work.

    1. Hello Miss McLeod,
I think he changed the way he behaved after the lady needed his help because he realised that its okay to help others and he may of liked the feeling he got from helping others. I think that the lady grabbed onto him.

  4. WOW Erin,
I loved reading this writing. It would be so cool if someone, a little bit like Mr Indifferent was at the start of your story, read this and thought 'Hmmmmm I wonder what would happen if I helped someone out one day?'
    Kepp up the great work,
